Every waiver run comes down to the same question: is the opportunity real, or was it one good night against a soft defence? The four names below all clear that bar. Each has a role that grew for a reason, and a schedule that rewards it.

Start with minutes. A player who has held thirty minutes for three straight games is telling you something his box score has not caught up with yet, and that gap is the window where he is still cheap.
